Performance Quality Improvement Statement: At Diocesan Catholic Children's Home we are committed to provide quality care and services to our clients and their families.

 

Each department within the agency will exercise best practice in carrying out the responsibilities of his/her department. To insure that quality standards are being met, performance and target goals will be reviewed on a quarterly basis to comply with best practice standards.

 

DCCH believes in fostering a work culture that promotes commitment to the agency’s mission and values, pride and mutual respect among staff and encourages personal growth to ensure a culture of excellence.

 

·       In residential, the average length of stay was 14 months, compared to 14 months in 2005 and 2006.

 

·       Of the 18 discharges from our residential program, 17 were sent to less restrictive environments.

 

·      During the last nine years, client surveys have reflected satisfaction with our services. 100% of the returned surveys in 2007 have indicated favorable or better response in overall satisfaction with the Home.

 

·      Our adoption program added to the continuum of services offered by the Home. We have been able to meet this need by completing 32 adoptions so far.

 

·      We have made a commitment to training our staff as well as the community. We offered 45 training sessions to the community. Staff attended an average of 62 hours of training.

 

·      11 of 12 external reviews had above average ratings, 9/12 ratings of 96 or above.

 

·      27% increase in referrals for residential treatment. 193% increase in referrals for Therapeutic Foster Care. The state continues to see us as a viable quality treatment option for special needs children.

·      Seclusions down 40%

 

·      AWOL down 17%

 

·      Staff turnover down 11%

 

·      CSR scores (ratings of our client records) 27% improvement-the largest in the State of Kentucky
