Gifts
Charitable gifts are very important to DCCH. Approximately 67% of our funding comes from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Much of the remainder must be raised through charitable sources. You
can support the mission of the Home by making a contribution through one of the following ways.

·        Cash/Checks

·        Credit Card

·        Securities

·        Gifts in kind

·        Memorials and Tributes

You can now give on-line by clicking below. No information about our donors is sold to, rented to, or exchanged with other organizations.

CASH GIFTS
If you would like to make a cash gift, please make your check payable to:
Diocesan Catholic Children's Home
PO Box 17007, 75 Orphanage Road
Ft. Mitchell, KY

CREDIT CARDS
The Home does accept most major credit cards. You can make a donation by writing or phoning the following information to us.

  • Amount you wish to give
  • Type of credit card
  • Card number
  • Expiration date
  • Name on the card
  • Your daytime telephone number

SECURITIES
It is often wise to give appreciated stock because you will receive tax-deductible credit for the full market value on the day that you donate it and you avoid paying capital gains tax. If assets have decreased in value, consider selling them, thereby creating a loss for tax purposes and make deductible gifts of the cash proceeds. We will be happy to discuss the best way for you to transfer your shares. Please contact Steven Breidenich, stevenb at DCCHome dot org, or 859/331-2040 ext. 234.

GIFTS IN KIND
There are many needs within the home that may be met with your gift in kind contribution. Most household items and children's clothing are gladly accepted. Items should be clean and good repair.
You may also wish to donate larger items or items that would not be used at the Home to our Annual Flea Market, which is held in August. Items are collected year round and may be dropped off on Mondays and Thursdays, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. There is currently a need for new appliances, such as stoves, washers, driers, and refrigerators. We are unable to accept used appliances.

MEMORIALS AND TRIBUTES
Any gift that you make to DCCH may be dedicated to the memory or in honor of a loved one. These contributions are lasting reminders that that special person has touched your life. The person honored by you will be listed in the Home's Annual Report, which is published in October.

OTHER PROPERTY
Gifts may also be funded with assets such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds that have increased in value. You not only receive regular tax savings, but you avoid the capital gains tax on qualified assets given for charitable use.

PERPETUAL LIGHT SOCIETY
